What Perfume Did Whitney Houston Wear?

Brands are now offering signature scents inspired by celebrities – most recently an elegant crystal bottle bearing an alluring fruity and floral fragrance created in tribute to late singer Whitney Houston. It will come packaged in its favorite hue of purple.

Perfumes have long been an integral part of everyday life for millions, serving to evoke emotion or memory while helping you smell your best.

There are an assortment of scents you can find on the market, ranging from rose blossoms to citrusy tangerine notes. Chanel No.5, Clinique Happy, Annick Goutal Petite Cherie Jean Patou Joy and Monyette Paris Monyette are some of the more renowned perfumes; other popular ones among celebrities include Elizabeth Taylor’s Quelques Fleurs by Houbigant Lancome Miracle So Magic! and Becker Eshaya B.E.

Since Whitney Houston’s death ten years ago, her estate has made great efforts to ensure her legacy remains alive. These include the release of I Wanna Dance With Somebody as an official estate-approved biopic and her inaugural perfume release: Fruity Sparkling Florals will be made available online through Home Shopping Network and Scent Beauty as well as Walmart beginning this November.

Marion “Pat” Houston, Whitney’s executor, worked closely with Scent Beauty and Firmenich to translate her voice and love of beauty into an intoxicating fragrance product that truly captured her essence. “To wear the fragrance is to feel inspired and confident like Whitney who encouraged women to embrace themselves fully,” according to Pat Houston’s press release.

As a tribute to her love of beauty, the fragrance will be available across multiple products: perfume, body lotion and mist all featuring its distinctive aroma – including an exclusive holiday gift set that will debut exclusively at Walmart early November.

While some fans have expressed displeasure with Whitney’s estate’s decision to release a perfume bearing her name, others applaud its efforts in keeping her legacy alive.
