Party Girl Nicolette Hayford

Nicolette Hayford has made Nashville her home thanks to her ability to combine powerful lyrics with strong melodies in songwriting for others. Ashley McBryde made headlines this past summer after featuring three of Nicolette’s songs on her Billboard charting singles “One Night Standards,” “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” and “Livin’ Next to Leroy,” written by her and published through SMACKSongs/River House Artists respectively. Koe Wetzel, Meghan Patrick and Lainey Wilson have had songs by Koe Wetzel/Mar Meghan Patrick/Lainey Wilson! Her works are published via SMACKSongs/River House Artists respectively.

Nicolette co-wrote “Shut Up Sheila” for McBryde’s debut female solo effort, Never Will. She doesn’t shy away from sharing the hard stories such as her brother’s death in service to country, which inspired the lyrics “If anyone tells you to give up or stop fighting for what you love… they are lying!”

Hayford’s debut mini album Florida was released in May 2022 and showcases her unflinchingly honest depiction of life in small town America, depicting every detail with stunning honesty. The result is an expansive collection of songs that’s simultaneously humorous, touching, and heartbreaking – not always pretty but certainly colourful!
