Ashley Tisdale Cuts Her Hair Short

Ashley Tisdale, of High School Musical fame, recently made headlines for sporting an eye-catching new hairstyle. She cut her bob into an asymmetrical style that features shorter sections on one side than the other for an unprecedented asymmetry – as reported by Pop Sugar this may be related to her role as Kayla in Netflix series Merry Happy Whatever, which premiered July 23.

Tisdale joins other notable celebrities, such as Kaley Cuoco, Minka Kelly, Hilary Duff and Sarah Jessica Parker who have all deviated from their signature blonde locks in favor of short dark bobs this summer. Bustle reached out to Tisdale’s representative but did not hear back.

Tisdale has much going on right now: she is executive producing Young and Hungry, which premiers June 25, acting in two movies/TV shows, as well as planning her upcoming wedding to rocker Christopher French.

But before settling on one style, she tried experimenting with various lengths. For example, last year she rocked a center-parted, millennial pink bob that perfectly complemented her lipstick shade. Later for Suite Life reunion tapings she went longer, rocking shoulder-skimming blonde wavy locks with caramel highlights for an eye-catching look.

On Instagram, she debuted her new asymmetrical bob. Posing in a leather jacket and gray T-shirt with face partially hidden, she also sported statement lashes and light pink lipstick that blended beautifully into her coif. Nikki Lee (who’s worked with Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens as well) was credited in the caption with adding #summerready hashtag.

Ashley would approve of an asymmetrical bob, as this trendy haircut can give any woman a seductive and provocative appearance. Additionally, it’s an effective way of concealing forehead lines or covering up breakouts due to breakouts or pimples.

Tisdale’s new haircut looks like a mix between a traditional Vidal Sassoon bob and a chin-length pixie cut; longer on top than shorter sides make this an excellent way to amp up their bob game!
