When Is Jason Coming Back on General Hospital?

Fans are delighted by the news of Steve Burton’s return to Days of Our Lives. Though he left GH in 2021, the actor is delighted to be returning and can’t wait to work with some of his longtime co-stars again.

Burton first joined the Days cast in 1988 and went on to portray Harris Michaels for 12 episodes before reprising his role in five episodes of Beyond Salem 2022. He is thrilled to be returning to his beloved show after over 30 years away – it feels like being part of the family now!

He revealed to Soap Opera Digest that he’s been busy working on the new show for the past several months and hopes to have some thrilling episodes soon. While he can’t yet predict what kind of storyline will follow next, he promised something “high-stakes and thrilling,” with plenty of mystery, adventure and romance.

Many fans are wondering when Jason will return to General Hospital. One of the biggest queries is if their beloved actor will return after being fired over Covid-19 vaccine mandates on the ABC soap opera.

In November 2021, Burton decided to leave the show due to vaccination policy concerns. With over a year having passed since his last appearance on GH, many fans are anxiously awaiting news on when Jason will return.

Jason Morgan was a beloved character on General Hospital (GH), and fans have been eagerly awaiting his return for some time. Initially cast as an evil mobster by creator George Bellamy, Jason has since become close to Sonny Corinthos (Bryan Craig) and his wife Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright).

After Michael’s shooting and subsequent coma, Jason and Elizabeth Webber were reunited. Although their relationship had been troubled due to Jason’s past, the two eventually managed to move past it and begin dating again.

After Sonny and Carly’s son Morgan Corinthos died in a bombing, Jason was called in to investigate. However, his investigation was compromised by Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Once evidence cleared him of wrongdoing, Jason reunited with Sam (Emily Van Camp) and their baby boy Daniel Edward.

He continued to manage Sonny’s business affairs, but never allowed Sonny back into the mob because it would be dangerous for his family. Furthermore, he assisted Robin Quartermaine (Gina Tognoni) in regaining custody of his son.

In 2022, Jason is shot during a confrontation with Anthony Moreno and Joseph Sorel; however, he manages to save Carly and Sonny’s son Michael Corinthos by saving Carly’s daughter Carly from drowning. Additionally, Jason aids Michael in recovering from his coma by being an active part of his life.

Michael Quartermaine (The Actor) plays a significant role in his family’s life after his father Alan passed away and mother Monica was shot. Although Jason initially struggles to reconcile with his estranged family members, he has since become more accepting and supportive of them after everything that has transpired. Furthermore, he has come to appreciate the connections he shares with his deceased grandfather Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle).
