Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon Talk Ping-Pong

Tim Robbins dated actress Susan Sarandon for over 20 years and together they had two children together. Unfortunately, their relationship ended in 2009 but Sarandon has recently spoken publicly about raising her children and playing ping-pong.

She shared how participating in “Exit the King” led to a reflection on her relationships with her children, particularly how it made her appreciate every second she spends together as a family. “[My participation in Exit the King] made me appreciate every minute spent together as family. This experience will always remain with me wherever life may lead me.”

She also revealed she’s been taking lessons with Eva Amurri’s instructor – whom Eva stars as stripper Jackie on Californication on Showtime – though “Stripping is not easy”, according to Eva on Tik Tok video, leaving bruises all over. But Eva says this opportunity keeps her feeling youthful.

“You need to remain mindful of why and for what purpose you’re acting,” she advises. “That has been my biggest lesson from this experience.”

Sarandon remains active with her non-profit theater company The Actors’ Gang and sponsors educational programs offering theatre training for elementary, middle and high school students in Los Angeles. Additionally, she advocates for animal rights as well as supports LGBTQ equality.

Regarding her children, she and Robbins welcomed Jack in 1989 and Miles two years later. Both boys became actors with keen senses of humor – Miles becoming both comedian and actor; most notably appearing on Netflix comedy special “Bobby Jonze: Comedian Uncensored.”

Sarandon expressed her surprise when her children laughed during a screening of Cradle Will Rock; but explained that their sense of humor differs from hers.
