Melinda Maltese Schaefer Husband Arrested in Murder of Reisterstown Property Manager

Baltimore County Police have arrested Rashaan Williams, 29, in connection with the June 14, 2013 murder of Reisterstown property manager Melinda Maltese Schaefer. CBS Baltimore reported that Schaefer was discovered dead inside her leasing office at Townes at Harvestview townhome community in Reisterstown; her body had been stabbed multiple times and lay face down in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.

Rashaan Williams is currently facing charges of Second Degree Murder and First Degree Manslaughter.

According to the Baltimore County District Attorney’s office, Schaefer had an ongoing disagreement with Williams, who worked as a maintenance worker at the complex at the time of her murder.

On June 14th, Schaefer was found face down in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds to her head and upper body by a cleaning lady inside her office at the complex. As a mother of three and leasing manager at the complex, Schaefer worked there as well. Williams has now been convicted of her murder and is serving a 30-year prison term.
