Little Caesars will bring some cheese-y delight to the Super Bowl with their new Stuffed Crust Pizza commercial featuring Matthew Stafford facing off against Big Pizza in a friendly competition. Additionally, Curb Your Enthusiasm actor JB Smoove and Academy Award-Winning Actress Halle Berry appear.
This commercial features the ExtraMostBestest Pepperoni Pizza from Little Caesars that’s packed with pepperoni and cheese inside a butter-flavored crust, covered in its famously delicious sauce and sprinkled with a blend of mozzarella and Muenster cheeses – an irresistibly tempting combination that could quickly empty out your wallet! Set in Detroit where its franchise exists, this commercial takes a dig at other pizza restaurants’ offerings as an indication of Little Caesars’ superior product offering.
Big Pizza is depicted as an arrogant corporation that takes no pride in quality or taste, using inferior ingredients, such as lard, to keep their dough from becoming hard, while they fail to use real 100% cheeses. They take an elitist approach to food service; only offering their most expensive and most-appetizing pizzas to their customers and serving only expensive yet lavish-looking pies; thus envying Little Caesar’s value and cheese goodness that they provide; the company even pokes fun at its stylish delivery boxes used by Little Caesars – thus becoming jealous.
One of the stand-out moments from this commercial is when Big Pizza begins his seductive dance routine to the Wihelm Scream music. A male executive walks into the room and witnesses all this chaos; when he attempts to take away Big Pizza but finds that it remains hot and delicious he promptly calls his boss in order to complain about this act of outrageousness.
After some negotiations between them, the executive finally decides to taste the pizza himself. He is delighted by its delicious taste and wonders if they are trying to trick him or if the company really is as great as they claim it to be. In an interesting twist, his pizza delivery man wears an eyepatch.
The final scene marks the conclusion of this commercial. The Little Caesars logo appears on a television screen surrounded by words reading “The Original”, before giving way to an exciting dance sequence.
