Dancing With The Stars Recap Last Night

Dancing With the Stars Recap

Dancing with the Stars returned for season 13 with back-to-back episodes. This season’s theme was “feel-good” music from Michael Buble. The show also tapped the talents of two dance pros, Wayne Brady and Witney Carson.

This week’s show was a good one. The dances were all impressive, including some memorable routines. However, it was the judging that gave some viewers a minor jolt. While the judges liked the performance of Charli and Mark Ballas, the jive routine seemed to lack a little something.

Another performance of note was the cha-cha performed by Gabby and Val. These two have been consistently delivering week after week. Despite their impressive chemistry, it’s tough to tell who will be the winner of the competition.

One of the most impressive DWTS performances of the season came from a newcomer. It was the Genie dance. Not only was it cute, it was also a fun exercise in timing. When asked how she learned to do it, Genie responded, “I was a klutz at first. But then I found out how to do it.”

Another great performance came from the aforementioned cha-cha. Although the jive routine was not the greatest, it was still a worthy accomplishment. It was a great show opener and the judges gave the performance a very respectable 8.5 out of 10 points.

Several performances received perfect scores, including those by Britt and Daniel. They did the cha-cha and Foxtrot, both of which were fun to watch. During the freestyle routine, Britt and Daniel emphasized matching lyrics with their movements.

Other notable performances included those by Heidi D’Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev. Both paired up with a partner who had dance experience. In the end, they were eliminated. Their combined scores were not the best.

Shangela Lewis is a favorite of many fans. She is one of the most likable competitors. Her performance last night was fun and sparkled. Interestingly, she broke a leg during her death drop. She is also the most expensive contestant at a whopping $3 million. She was in tears during her dance.

Aside from the obvious cha-cha, there was also a dazzling performance by Shangela. Her team did a fun relay and she was rewarded for her efforts. Of course, her name was spelled wrong. Fortunately, it was the only mistake she made.

Finally, there was the aforementioned sexy-mimos-moment. It was a genuinely cool dance that the judges liked, but it didn’t come close to the top of their list of ‘best’ dances of the night.

For the most part, there was a noticeable improvement in the quality of the performances from week to week. While the stars may have been a little behind in their confidence, there was a lot to be excited about. If the judges can keep it up, there’s a good chance there will be an all-new group of finalists in just a few weeks. All that’s left is to wait to see what happens next.
