Cleo Kim Grey’s Anatomy

Doctor Nico Kim (Grey’s Anatomy)

Grey’s Anatomy has long been beloved for its diverse cast and dynamic characters, but has unfortunately seen many beloved doctors leave due to death or talent contract negotiations. Still, Grey’s Anatomy still boasts fan favorites like Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) and Dr. Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh). Additionally, there have been other doctors that have left an impactful mark.

Dr. Nico Kim (Alex Landi), as the first openly gay male surgeon on Grey’s Anatomy, created considerable anticipation among fans. Yet some viewers quickly became disenchanted with both him and the character; it seemed something was lacking from both aspects.

Recently, we had the chance to talk with Landi about his work on the show and what makes his character special. Watch his video below as he gives insight into his process, working with Shonda Rhimes on shooting an episode, and much more!

Grey’s Anatomy has long been recognized for its groundbreaking stories and discussion of topics often neglected. One such instance occurred on March 2, when Grey’s Anatomy featured an abortion procedure and highlighted its necessity in our culture. It helped raise awareness and demonstrate just how safe abortion really is.

Teddy Altman (Kim Raver), in this season of Grey’s Anatomy, appears to be preoccupied with both her new baby and relationship with Owen Hunt (Ellen Pompeo), yet still harbors plenty of feelings for Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo). Raver remains hopeful that they can reunite soon enough onscreen.

Raver has also been keeping herself busy as a director, having already directed two episodes of Grey’s Anatomy this season and recently sharing that she wants to direct more in future seasons.

Raver doesn’t anticipate that the series will end anytime soon, citing their strong conviction that it will continue for many more seasons to come.

After seeing several cast members leave Grey’s Anatomy, fans have become increasingly excited at the possibility of Season 20. And with Pompeo stepping down as a star but remaining executive producer alongside showrunner Krista Vernoff – it certainly appears to be possible!
