Blaine Halvorson – A Car Accident Victim

Upon reading the news that Kasson alum Blaine Halvorson was killed in a fiery tussle with a semi, the community stepped up to the plate. Those who are fortunate enough to know Blaine will tell you that the one-time Marine was a fun and affable man who loved to laugh. It will be a sad day for the entire community, but there are sure to be some hugs and smiles forthcoming. Those who would like to pay their respects can do so at the nearest mortuary of their choice. Fortunately, his samaritans are well cared for. Among the family’s many furry friends is his canine cousin, whom he adored. The dog even made an appearance at a funeral function. He’s been a loyal member of the Bakersville Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years. A fitting tribute to a true gentleman is in order. Sadly, a sexless spouse will not be able to fill his shoes. For now, all of their angst is contained in the hearts and minds of their kin.
