Westfield Indiana Car Crash

Westfield, Indiana Car Crash

The city of Westfield, Indiana is home to some of the best public schools in the country and a booming nightlife scene. As such, it’s no surprise that automobile accidents aren’t unheard of. But it’s not all bad news, as the town has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the state and the average household income is more than double the national average. In short, Westfield is a town you’ll be proud to call your own.

Having said that, a recent car crash in the city has left some residents asking what the hell happened. According to a Westfield police spokesperson, a black 2014 Audi Q5 was reported stolen from a Plainfield auto repair shop at around 1:47 p.m. That’s the only information available at this time.

However, the vehicle was towed and its driver was sent to a local hospital with what the authorities say were non-life threatening injuries. Several other agencies assisted on the scene including the Maine State Police, Maine Highway Department, and Central Aroostook Ambulance. While the driver is still in the hospital, the rest of the crew has been released.

Although the wrecked car was not found, officials say it did not stop a flurry of police activity as occupants of other vehicles rushed to the scene. This, in addition to the fact that it was the town’s largest calamity to date, has led to a number of media inquiries about the incident. Sadly, no more information is currently available, but 22news will continue to follow the progress of this unfortunate occupant.

In particular, the Westfield Fire Department released photos of some of the damage, although they were reticent to offer any specifics. Meanwhile, the IMPD had several officers on the scene to investigate the incident, and is investigating both crashes separately. Aside from the two accidents, there were numerous traffic alerts and accidents, many of which are not yet publicly known. During the ensuing investigation, the IMPD learned that in both crashes the driver drove off the road. Of course, while the IMPD does its part, the Westfield Fire Department is also a top notch organization. Despite its reputation as a good ol’ boys club, the FD did an admirable job of calming nervous motorists in a safe and professional manner.

Notably, it’s not a great city for the budget-conscious, but the people are friendly, the crime rate is low, and the amenities and attractions are plentiful. The population of the town is roughly 43,000 and the median household income is in the ballpark of $100,000. It’s no wonder that the city is considered one of the best places to live in America. If you’re looking for a new home or a change of scenery, Westfield might be just the ticket. Just be sure to pack your toothbrush and your wits when you leave! After all, you never know when you’ll be the next victim in a crash.
