“Nothing changes the joy and pleasure that come from sharing food together with family,” according to CEO and President Stew Leonard on Fox News’ Monday morning show, Mornings with Maria. Due to inflationary increases this year, many consumers have found it challenging to afford traditional Thanksgiving dinners; Stew Leonard’s has provided money-saving tips so shoppers can prepare themselves financially for Thanksgiving festivities.

One strategy is to purchase a frozen turkey and use a rotisserie at home to roast it at an even temperature. That way, the turkey will reach optimal roasting results more quickly, ready for dinner. After cooking it is also important to tent it with foil to retain more juices so the turkey stays moist longer while sitting in the refrigerator all day long.

Stew Leonard’s chefs suggest placing your turkey in a pan and covering it with aluminum foil before placing in the oven, to prevent burning and retain heat for proper cooking of its meat. A pan with high sides is important since turkeys grow as they roast.

The store’s chefs also create pre-packaged Thanksgiving dinners, complete with sliced and boneless turkey breasts, seasoned mashed potatoes made from cream of chicken soup, and homemade cranberry sauce made using an age-old family recipe for Cranberry Relish.
