Wheaties Box Features NBA MVP Steph Curry

One of the more exciting announcements to come out of the Wheaties headquarters in San Francisco was the addition of a pro basketball MVP to its roster. In fact, the company rolled out a special edition cereal box featuring the league’s top scorer in honor of the most recent champions. The box also features an interesting tidbit about the “I Promise” school in Akron, Ohio, where James attends.

Wheaties, which makes the brand synonymous with the cereal you eat, will unveil a limited-edition homage to Golden State’s star point guard at the end of June. That’s not all. The company also plans to release a few special edition cereals to help keep the momentum going. Of course, as is the case with any cereal brand, fans will want to make the most of this limited-time opportunity to stock up on the best cereals to take home.

Aside from the custom box, fans will also be able to purchase a commemorative box containing the “Breakfast of Champions” poster. It’s not clear what fans can expect to see on that poster, but one thing’s for sure: Steph Curry is more than a star player. Indeed, he has proven himself to be an all-around champion on and off the court. This year alone, the star point guard set a new single season record for three pointers made. He led the NBA in scoring as well. Earlier in the season, he was voted to the All-NBA second team, and earned the league’s most valuable player award. And, if all goes well, Stephen Curry will take home the top prize for the 2015-16 season.

In the words of Wheaties’ chief marketing officer David Peck, the company will honor the heart of a true champion by letting fans take a closer look at the new “Breakfast of Champions” poster and a special edition cereal.
