This week in Burlington NC was a big one and not all cops are made of money. While it’s hard to pinpoint any one incident, a string of lucky breaks have made the burbs an even more pleasant place to hang out. With the exception of one shady fellow, police officers have remained exemplary. Not to mention, the area is one of the nicest places in North Carolina to visit without a driver’s license in your wallet. Despite a bleak crime rate and a slew of unwelcomed visitors, the town has managed to maintain a small town feel. In short, it’s a terrific place to live and work. If you’re in the area, keep an eye out for stray cats and a couple of the area’s most notable residents. Whether they’re just passing by or in the thick of it, a little help will go a long way. Fortunately, this is a town where most people know one another and there’s no shortage of friendly neighbors. Having said that, this community is no stranger to a brawl or two and is in no short supply of gangsters. Fortunately for the stragglers, the good news is that it’s a relatively short drive to Raleigh, Durham or Chapel Hill.
