In this second episode of Season 2 of Netflix’s acclaimed Bridgerton series, we learn more about the family’s complicated history. Not only does the show shift focus to Anthony, but it also introduces many new characters and storylines.

The eldest of the Bridgerton siblings, Anthony has always been close with his mother, Violet, but after her husband’s death, she starts to feel less supportive of him. When Anthony reveals to her that he has fallen in love with his childhood friend, Kate Sheffield, Violet understands that she may have contributed to the change in Anthony’s behavior. She also understands that Anthony has always put her first, and she doesn’t want to see him hurt again.

Her words break his heart, but he must confess to her that he loves Kate. It’s the first time that he’s allowed himself to feel the way he feels and the only way for him to open up is to tell her.

Anthony realizes that he loves her and he wants to make her happy. She’s been through a lot and she deserves someone who can give her the kind of support that she needs to get through her hard times. She can’t be alone in her grief, and she needs to be loved by a man who will accept her for who she is.

She’s a sweet, gentle soul who cares about her family and the people around her. She’s also a loyal and caring friend. She doesn’t need a man who will hurt her or try to steal her away.

It’s clear that Kate isn’t just there to keep Anthony from meeting Edwina. She’s actually been looking for her sister since she was a child and when she finds her, it doesn’t take long for her to fall in love with her.

The Viscount Who Loved Me is the second book in Julia Quinn’s popular series of historical romance novels about the Bridgerton family. Fans of the Netflix series will definitely enjoy this book!
