Nona Jones is a global celebrity and a powerful voice of hope for this generation. In addition to her music and writing, she is also an entrepreneur and public speaker who has impacted the lives of many. She is an expert in expanding the influence of the Gospel through social technology and is an expert in building bridges between worlds for the kingdom impact.

She is an entrepreneur, author, and international speaker. She is the founder of Nona Jones Ministries and leads Open Door ministries in Gainesville, Florida. Her mission is to encourage people to walk in God’s grace.

When she was just twelve years old, she became an avid Bible reader and started a personal Bible study. As a result, she decided to become a Christian and make Jesus Christ Lord and Savior of her life. After attending a church for a while, she decided to join the youth ministry. While she was a member of the youth group, she was recruited to serve as a volunteer minister in training.

She graduated from the University of Florida with a Master in Business Administration. She then received her first executive position at a Fortune 100 company. Later, she was given a position as the chief external affairs officer for a multi-state school. During her tenure, she worked as a community and alternative school spokesperson, as well as a spokesperson for the Juvenile Justice Reform Movement.

Since then, she has held several executive leadership positions in both the business and nonprofit sectors, including Head of Global Faith-Based Partnerships at Facebook. She is also the President of the Gainesville chapter of The Links, Inc. She has been recognized as the University of Florida’s Outstanding Young Alumnus, and served as the Secretary of the Florida Juvenile Justice Association Board of Directors.

Before she launched her musical career, Jones studied jazz piano at the University of North Texas. She is also a member of the UNT Jazz Singers. For her musical achievements, she was nominated for a Grammy.

She has also won awards, such as the Robert F. Roundtree Rising Star Award, given to young leaders under the age of 35. Other notable accolades include being named Florida Trend Magazine’s “30-Something All Star” and an Essence magazine “Under 40 Woman to Watch.”

Her album, “The Fall”, peaked at number seven on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Another notable achievement is her performance of “Young Blood” at Apple Inc.’s “It’s Only Rock and Roll” press conference.

She is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and a Presidential Leadership Scholar. Additionally, she has served on the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force and as the Secretary of the Florida Juvenile and Domestic Relations Association’s board of directors.

She has written three books, including Killing Comparison: Success from the Inside Out and From Social Media to Social Ministry. She is a co-founder and concert producer of Sue Jones, and has co-produced her gospel album, “Take Me.” She has also been featured on NBC’s “30 Rock” and British GQ magazine’s “The Hot Issue.”

With an impressive career, she has been able to build her own home, a clothing store, and two boys. But, her true calling is to build bridges between the worlds and to inspire people to walk in God’s grace.
