Lindsay Ratcliffe Progeria 2021

Lindsay Ratcliffe lives an active life. She attends three-day-a-week preschool classes and takes a daily baby aspirin for heart disease prevention, all despite suffering from one of the rarest genetic diseases known – progeria, which speeds up her aging eight to 10 times more rapidly than normal. Over time her body shrinks significantly as her hair falls out, her nose becomes beak-shaped with an under-developed chin; and fractured her lower left leg from falling off a backyard playset – but this doesn’t stop her from being cheerful – always smiling!
