Keira Knightley Commercial 2021

This week, Chanel unveiled their Coco Mademoiselle campaign with Oscar (r)-nominated actress Keira Knightley at its center. Directed by one of Keira’s favorite filmmakers Joe Wright, the commercial is part of a series of films that has accompanied the fragrance since 2007.

Keira Knightley Has Been Chanel’s Muse For Nearly a Decade

British actress Keira Knightley has been the face of Chanel for nearly a decade, and their latest campaign “On The Trail Of Coco Mademoiselle” sees her star in various scenarios related to women’s daily lives. Shot by star photographer Mario Testino, this six-film project includes images that capture Knightley in various settings such as under a pillow on the floor, beside a fridge full of perfume bottles or wearing an elegant motorcycle onesie.

Knightley first played a romantic Parisian who is surrounded by Chanel-wear and wears an elegant evening gown. In this new commercial, however, Knightley takes on more of an urban attitude as she rides a beige motorcycle jumpsuit designed specifically for her by Karl Lagerfeld.

Meta, yes; yet this ad works quite effectively. It creates some actual sexual tension – something many ads attempt but never manage to capture.

Keira Knightley stars in Silent Night

This dark and brooding Christmas thriller stars Knightley, Lily-Rose Depp and Roman Griffin Davis as a family of friends spending their holiday at a country house where an outbreak of plague has left everyone terrified. Additionally, Annabelle Wallis, Matthew Goode and Rufus Jones join the cast.

Keira Knightley is an acclaimed actress who has starred in films ranging from coming of age soccer drama Bend It Like Beckham to lavish period romances such as Pride & Prejudice and fan favorite Love Actually. She earned two Academy Award nominations for her work and is widely considered one of the world’s most promising young actresses.

Her breakthrough role was in the 2002 soccer film Bend It Like Beckham, a hit that propelled her to global superstardom. She went on to star in classic films such as Pride & Prejudice and Pirates of the Caribbean before taking on a more contemporary role in Love Actually which earned her another Oscar nomination.

She has been a Chanel model since 2007, with an array of designer garments in her closet that she hadn’t worn in years. But in a recent interview, the 34-year-old actress revealed that she and her family donned Chanel during quarantine when they were forced to stay home due to the flu pandemic.

Knightley has worn a Chanel ad before, but this one stands as her most iconic. Directed by Joe Wright in 2011, the original Coco Mademoiselle advert saw Knightley riding through Paris wearing an evening dress while riding her motorbike.
