Hannah wrote openly in her newly published book God Bless This Mess about an experience she endured as a child. In 2001, her aunt Alisa Taylor and cousins Robin and Trent were brutally killed by Wilson Robitaille; Hannah revealed in her book that she was only six at the time.

Now that Hannah is an adult, she wants to share her account of this unfortunate event in an emotional memoir. Hannah stressed the importance of sharing these personal accounts as part of life stories: “Everyone’s narrative is unique.”

She also indicates that she was able to benefit from her trauma, viewing it as something which has helped shape her into becoming a stronger individual.

Hannah answered People’s question regarding whether or not she’d ever been afraid to discuss the tragedy with anyone, stating that it has given her strength. Furthermore, Hannah explained how it could potentially help others as well.
