Gallinari Career Stats

Gallinari, an Italian professional basketball player, currently plays for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association. He spent his first four years in professional basketball in Italy before being drafted sixth overall in the 2008 NBA Draft. He has played both the guard position and power forward position during his NBA career.

Gallinari only played in one game during his rookie season due to injury. However, he quickly returned to court. His home game against the Dallas Mavericks saw him score 47 points and grab 9 rebounds, which was a career high. Gallinari also recorded one assist during the game.

After playing two seasons in New York, Gallinari was traded to the Denver Nuggets. He was part of a three-team trade that also sent Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups to New York. During his time in Denver, he showed some flashes of his potential, including a thirty-point performance against the Portland Trail Blazers. He did miss the majority the season because of an ACL tear. He later returned to the Detroit Pistons, and had a great 2014-15 season.

While in Italy, Gallinari played for Virtus Segafredo Bolgna, Tezenis Verona, and Olimpia Milano. He was also a future NBA coach Mike D’Antoni’s partner. His professional basketball career began in Europe where he played for four years. He averaged 17.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.3 assists in his final season with Milano.
