The Masked Singer – What Did The Panelists Say About This Week’s Episode?

On The Masked Singer, each contestant wears an elaborate mask that represents a famous person. During the show, this disguised celebrity sings a song before an audience and panelists who vote via electronic device on which performance receives the most votes. After one round is completed, however, the singer with the most votes is eliminated and replaced by another hopeful.

Black Swan made her appearance on The Masked Singer as a powerful vocalist who brought the judges to tears several times. Her touching performances earned her the nickname “Black Swan” and helped propel her towards the finals alongside Piglet and Chameleon.

Black Swan was selected for a special clue package that featured her singing a cover of Heart’s iconic hit “Barracuda” in her first episode of Season 5. An on-stage clue revealed that Black Swan had kept something meaningful from her home that reminded her of a friend and fellow singer who passed away.

Beginning April 16th, The Masked Singer Season 5 will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.

On the show’s fifth season, Black Swan, Piglet, Crab, Chameleon and an unidentified wildcard character will all make appearances. The finalists for each category will be revealed on May 18.

In the meantime, let us celebrate all of this week’s hilarious performances and outrageous costumes with you — plus what the panelists had to say about them!

Nicole Scherzinger correctly predicted Tamera Mowry for the Seashell; Ken Jeong correctly called Sarah Silverman; Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg correctly identified Vanessa Hudgens; Robin Thicke correctly predicted Haylie Duff. Guest panelist Rita Wilson correctly named Scout Willis.

On The Masked Singer, Armadillo sang Johnny Rivers’ “Secret Agent Man.” His voice has an unusual rasp that doesn’t quite match that of a professional singer – yet he seems to be having fun!

Nick Cannon, while declaring the winner of Group B, made a reference to his ex-wife Mariah Carey as her “biggest fan.” It remains uncertain whether this statement is an actual reference or just an impression.

The host also used the Masked Singer Mind Reader to reveal what each singer had on their mind during this week’s performance. For Black Swan, it revealed that she is constantly thinking of her former husband and their twin 10-year-old daughters, Moroccan and Monroe.

She was inspired to join the show by her children, and hopes to leave a lasting impression on them during tonight’s episode.

Her children, who are fans of Hannah Montana, were thrilled that she was on the show and got to watch her compete against other contestants. The kids even took some pictures during the event – then Hannah Montana showed them off by sharing a video clip of her performance with them!
