In a recent case, a Houston family was scammed out of $16,000 by a thief. The thief used fake or forged documents to sell a rental truck to the couple. The woman had bought two cars from Craigslist in the past and had been hoping to buy her third one. But her plans were dashed when the thief made off with her money and the 2022 Dodge Ram.
