Christen Press and Tobin Heath Ring For Equal Pay

Christen Press and Tobin Heath, stars of the US Women’s National Team, have been at the forefront of a legal fight to receive equal pay as men. While they’ve faced setbacks along the way, they remain determined in their pursuit.

Christen and Tobin are more than just athletes — they’re role models. They instill in young girls the value of leadership and how to take risks when it comes to their careers.

Their faith guides their decisions and allows them to have honest discussions with coaches, teammates and fans about the difficulties they face both on and off the field. Additionally, they have a close bond with their coach Ana Andonovski.

Press is an inspirational role model, setting high standards for her family and career. When not playing for her club or country, Press volunteers with her kids’ schools and local communities. She truly strives to be the best version of herself that she can be for them.

Christen is a devout Christian who believes her faith helps her stay positive during difficult circumstances, whether they be professional or personal. In the past, she’s shared her struggles with addiction; however, she was able to conquer them.

She was born on December 29th, 1988 and raised in Palos Verdes Estates, California with her parents Cody and Stacy. While attending Stanford University, she won the Hermann Trophy as college soccer’s most outstanding player.

Press’ senior season was one of the most remarkable in NCAA history, featuring 26 goals and 10 assists during her run to the national championship game. Additionally, she took home the Golden Boot award – widely considered to be equivalent to the Heisman Trophy.

Her teammates at the Portland Thorns, where she’s currently the top scorer in the NWSL, have also praised her talent and leadership. USWNT winger Megan Rapinoe said that she is “so inspiring to watch” with an ability to “put everything into perspective”.

As a result of her success, Heath and her partner were awarded with an exciting contract in September. They joined FA Women’s Super League side Manchester United, with whom they quickly made history by being among the first in line for jersey sales ahead of their debuts on Sunday.

Press is determined to recover from her recent ACL tear as quickly and healthily as possible. While she longs to return to her previous form, Press knows the road to recovery will be long and challenging.

She strives to find balance between her professional and personal lives, which can be difficult with such a hectic schedule. She has a young son named Cash with her husband Alex Morgan, spends time with Allie in Los Angeles, as well as traveling around the world for events to visit friends and fans.

In addition to her involvement with the USWNT, Press is co-founder of re-inc, an organix luxury lifestyle brand she shares with teammates Heath and Meghan Klingenberg. Their products are gender neutral and designed for all bodies types – including yoga equipment and fitness accessories – plus they advocate for athletes’ rights as well as filing a lawsuit against US Soccer Federation over pay inequality.
