There are many car brands with the letter J in their name. Some of these models are iconic and a part of automotive history. Other car brands that start with the letter J are the British Jaguar, JAC in China, and the American Jeep (a division of FCA US LLC). These cars are considered luxury vehicles, and can be found in a wide variety of color schemes.

Jonway Automobile is a Chinese car manufacturer that is headquartered in Shunde (Guangdong). It is China’s third largest SUV manufacturer and ranks fifth among domestic automakers. Jonway offers vehicles under three brands: Jinbei, Jonway, and YIXING. Its logo includes a jonquil flower, a symbol of happiness in China. It reported a profit of CNY 565 million in 2009.

Jiangling Motors, founded in 1968, is headquartered in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. Jiangling has been a part of a joint venture since 1997 with Ford Motor Company. Jiangling Motor Holding also has a joint venture partner, Changan, a Chinese automaker. Jiangling also manufactures vehicles under the Landwind brand. The Yusheng SUV was released by Jiangling in late 2010.

Jaguar, based in Whitley, Coventry, United Kingdom, was founded in 1922 by William Lyons and William Walmsley. This car company specializes exclusively in luxury vehicles. It is now owned by Fiat Chrysler Corporation. It has two assembly lines in North America. Jaguar also has several parts made in Italy and Slovakia.

JAC Motors, founded in England, was originally known as JBA Engineering. The name was derived from the first letters of the founders’ surnames. The company’s first models were the 1982 Falcon Roadster and the 1985 Javelin. The 1991 Strathcarron S5-A was also produced. In 2001, the company was closed.
