The body was exposed and the cause of death was asphyxiation. Furthermore, the woman had been beaten before she succumbed.

On March 12, 2015, Judge Victor Manuel Echeverria Tun sentenced him to 12 years in prison for her death. Since that time he hasn’t seen his family members – wife or children – nor been visited by them.
