Charles Spencer is one of the few families still keeping their historic estates intact in England. Althorp House in Northamptonshire features 90 rooms and 550 acres of walled park land that have remained undamaged, and holds numerous paintings by famous artists as well as treasured family heirlooms – but like any historic house it costs money to maintain its needs and keep up its upkeep.

Luckily, the Spencers have other revenue sources to subsidize their ancestral home: public tours, gift shop sales and renting out the property for weddings and filming projects are just a few ways they generate funds – in addition to hosting royal weddings and funerals from time to time.

The Spencers have joined forces with American manufacturer Theodore Alexander to produce furniture that evokes the grandiosity of English country houses. Created to complement antiques in their home, the traditional pieces of furniture boast distinctive flair yet can easily fit into modern lifestyle.
