One of the beloved makeup artists and beauty/lifestyle experts, as well as one of the revered names and authorities in the beauty industry has passed away.
On Wednesday, March 27th AJ Crimson, the legendary makeup artist and entrepreneur best known for his collaborations with celebrities like Fergie, Hilary Duff, Regina King and Angela Bassett passed away. His family announced his passing as a “makeup industry leader” who “set a standard of beauty that was elevated, beautiful and accessible to people of all colors”.
He launched his own brand in 2012 and created makeup products tailored for black skin. These pigmented items were easy to apply and ideal for people with various complexions.
His work earned him a place on the covers of Harper’s BAZAAR and Allure magazines, among others. Additionally, he developed a line of vegan brushes which have received glowing reviews.
The news of Crimson’s passing spread rapidly on social media, with hundreds of condolences messages pouring in from fans who admired his expertise in cosmetics. He was renowned for enhancing people’s natural beauty, and many said he was a kind-hearted soul who went above and beyond to ensure others felt good about themselves.
