Cedric the Entertainer
One of the most sought after entertainers on television, Cedric the Entertainer has an impressive resume that includes acting, writing, producing, and hosting. He has appeared on several movies and TV shows and has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Currently, he is starring in the hit TV comedy “The Last O.G.” alongside Tracy Morgan. As of 2012, the comedian is estimated to be worth about $15 million. Besides a successful career, Cedric the Entertainer has also established a charitable foundation, the Cedric the Entertainer Charitable Foundation. Its purpose is to aid young people in achieving their dreams.
Cedric the Entertainer has spent a good part of his life in Missouri, where he graduated from Berkeley High School. He studied communications at Southeast Missouri State University and later worked as a substitute teacher. In addition, he also worked as a State Farm insurance claims adjuster. However, he found his calling as a stand-up comedian.
During his early years, Cedric the Entertainer starred in numerous movies and TV shows. These include Barbershop, Larry Crown, Top Five, and A Haunted House. His work in comedy has earned him four NAACP Image Awards. In addition, he was awarded a doctorate in fine arts and humanities from Lincoln University.
Cedric the Entertainer currently lives with his family in a home in Florissant, Missouri. The actor and comedian owns various pieces of land in California and Missouri. This includes a home in Chatsworth and a bungalow in Florissant. Moreover, he has two vehicles.
Cedric the Entertainer also owns an artificial intelligence company called Qloo. This company makes web interfaces based on user preferences. Some of his investors are Barry Sternlicht, Pierre Lagrange, and other industry leaders. Since it was founded, it has grown into a profitable business.
Another one of Cedric’s ventures is a wine brand. He has been actively involved in the launch of this company. Other than his involvement in the business, he has helped out his high school, Berkeley High School, by providing scholarships to its graduating seniors.
Cedric the Entertainer is also known for his voice acting. He has lent his voice to characters in animated films like Planes and Madagascar. Several of his movies and shows have earned him a large fan following. Recently, he was named the host of the Emmy awards. Previously, he hosted game shows such as “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” and “It’s Worth What?”
During his career, Cedric has starred in numerous movies and television shows. Although he is best known for his role in The Steve Harvey Show, he has been recognized for his performances in other movies such as Be Cool, Code Name: The Cleaner, and Barbershop 2: Back in Business. Earlier this year, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
After a short break from acting, he returned to the world of entertainment in 2003. In 2007, he starred in the comedy film Code Name: The Cleaner. Later, he appeared in the popular TV series, The Soul Man.
