Colleen McKernan

Colleen McKernan is accused of killing her husband 10 times on New Year’s Eve, 2014, and her defense attorneys have argued that she did so in self-defense. CBS News’ correspondent Tracy Smith got inside her case by interviewing forensic animator Scott Roder. A forensic animator can create visual representations of a crime scene, which can prove to be invaluable for the prosecution.

McKernan was a battered woman who had been abused by her husband before the shooting. She was angry and intoxicated the night of the shooting, and she shot her husband in self-defense, according to her side of the story. But prosecutors pressed forward and tried to discredit her testimony. She said she cried and tore as she testified, which cast doubt on her account of the crime. In the end, prosecutors will decide if they’ll retry McKernan or not.

Rob McKernan

Colleen McKernan is a military-trained woman who shot her husband Rob McKernan 10 times in December 2014. She claims she acted in self-defense after he shot her in the face. The couple had been married for only eight months. The case drew national attention and generated polarizing reactions on social media. In the end, two juries couldn’t decide whether Colleen McKernan acted intentionally.

Colleen and Rob had a tumultuous relationship before the crime occurred. They were arguing and drinking on the night of the killing. The two were never able to reconcile. Colleen was left with no choice but to take revenge.

Michel Escoto

Michel Escoto is a vengence killer in the film newlyweds 10. He bludgeoned his new wife to death using a tire iron and asphyxiated her in a bathtub. While on their honeymoon, Trapaga became suspicious of her new husband’s cloudy drink, so she fought back. Escoto beat her to death in a Miami Jacuzzi, and a witness identified the murder weapon: a tire iron. In his trial, Escoto was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison.

Despite his conviction, Escoto is still being held in prison for murdering his wife Wendy Trapaga. The murder took place four days after the couple’s wedding. Escoto’s trial involved cross-examining the star prosecution witness, Yolanda Cerrillo, who admitted to helping Escoto in return for immunity.

Escoto’s initial story about the murder was inconsistent. He initially told investigators that he had an argument with Trapaga the night before and that she had dropped him off at his South Beach apartment. However, as his story progressed, authorities grew suspicious. They questioned his motive, claiming that Escoto was seeking the insurance money. Escoto later represented himself in the courtroom, and his version of events changed over time.

Michel Escoto was convicted of first-degree murder in Wendy Trapaga’s 2002 murder. It was discovered that he murdered her to collect a $1 million insurance policy that he had deposited in her name. The victim’s family and the victims’ mother testified against him, and Escoto was sentenced to life in prison.

Rob McKernan’s wife

Despite the flaws in McKernan’s testimony, he is not guilty of the crime.

Despite the polarizing nature of the case, two juries failed to reach a unanimous verdict as to why McKernan killed her husband. McKernan were arguing and drinking before the murder.
