Toy Sprint Cars

Toy sprint cars are racing vehicles that have smaller engines and are typically powered by motorcycle engines. Lightning, mini, and micro sprints are great ways to experience the thrill of racing a larger vehicle in a smaller package. The cars are also much easier to maintain than a larger car. But don’t get discouraged if you don’t find one with a new engine.

In the 1970s, a group of drivers called the World of Outlaws started to build custom sprint cars. These cars were equipped with 15-inch rear tires and mechanical fuel injection. Their engines were also made to be push-started by a quad or truck. They also don’t have clutches or flywheels, and their direct drive systems are disconnected from the cockpits.

These cars are affordable and can be used to test your racing skills. These cars are powered by motorcycle engines, and are a great way for young racers to learn the basics of racing. They are fun and easy to operate and provide hours of entertainment. Micro sprints are half as big as Lightning sprints but have smaller engines that produce a lower horsepower.

Jim Cushman created the original winged sprint car in 1958. It was driven by him on the Columbus Motor Speedway, Ohio. He also qualified a Porsche 550 RS Spyder in 1956 with a wing and an inverted cockpit. Later, many drivers began to add sideboards to their cars to help turn them in corners. This added traction made the cars faster and more maneuverable.
