Taco Bell Reaper Ranch Discontinued

Taco Bell Reaper Ranch Fries is the hottest fries in the world. According to Taco Bell, these fries are made with Carolina Reaper peppers, which are twice as hot as a habanero. If you’re a pepper lover, you can try these fries at select locations. However, it is unclear whether or not this will be a permanent addition to the menu.

In an attempt to appeal to spicy fans, Taco Bell is testing two new nacho fries varieties. These fries are topped with a jalapeno-infused nacho cheese sauce and a grilled marinated steak. While both versions are tasty, they lack the punch of the Reaper Ranch.

The original version, the Beefy Nacho Loaded Griller, consisted of crunchy red strips, ground beef, and nacho cheese. It was grilled using a grill press. Some Taco Bell reps say this version is as hot as the Reaper Ranch fries, but we disagree. Our sample did not feature enough steak, but the seasoned fries were sturdy.

The Steak Reaper Ranch Fries Supreme featured a similar mix of components. However, the portion of the steak was slightly smaller and the taco was a little too wet inside. Both were served with tomatoes and sour cream. There was only one Taco Bell restaurant in Cincinnati serving the fries, but I can imagine this would be available at other Taco Bell branches.

One reason why the Taco Bell Steak Reaper Ranch Fries Supreme was so successful was that the pepper was balanced well with the other ingredients. The sauces were not too hot, but the pepper infused flavor was a welcome addition. Similarly, the ranch sauce was a nice touch, but it didn’t have the punch that you would expect from a spicy ranch sauce.

For those who love the spicy, there is also the Reaper Ranch Burrito, which features a 1.5 million Scoville unit Carolina Reaper pepper. This is not as spicy as the fries, but it is worth a shot.

Besides the new Taco Bell Reaper Ranch Fries, the company is testing Buffalo Chicken Nacho Fries in Toledo, Ohio. They will be available until mid-September. Depending on how popular these fries are, they may become a permanent addition to the menu.

Meanwhile, Taco Bell will continue testing three other loaded grillers in various locations. Previously, they offered the Double Decker Taco, Black Jack Taco, and Enchirito. Although the Black Jack Taco and Enchirito aren’t currently on the menu, they were promoted in advertisements featuring NBA star Shaquille O’Neal.

The Double Decker Taco is a taco filled with refried beans between tortillas. The Black Jack Taco was served in a black taco shell. A shredded cheddar and white pepper jack cheese sauce was also incorporated into the filling. Unlike the other tacos, the Black Jack Taco was a unique color.

Taco Bell has always tried to push the boundaries of the traditional fast food experience. They have even gone as far as offering the first ever French fries at the chain. Now, they are also introducing Spicy Potato Soft Taco.
