Dr. Jerry Williams
In 2011, Dr. Jerry Williams opened his first clinic on Tybee Island, Georgia. He answered calls from island residents seeking medical care. Within a year, he opened a second location in downtown Savannah and a third in Sandfly. Since then, his clinic has grown to include six locations throughout the Savannah area.
He says that his patients can see a doctor at the clinic for a fraction of the cost of a traditional emergency room visit. He also provides primary care to people with good insurance for as little as $49 a month. That includes their yearly physical and four additional visits a year. Patients pay $20 for each visit, and he says that this model has grown by word of mouth and patient referrals.
