Robin Roberts is an American news anchor best known for her work on Good Morning America.

Roberts was born November 23 in Tuskegee, Alabama. Currently she resides in New York City.

She first began her career in Mississippi’s WLOX and WDAM radio stations as a sports reporter before transitioning into television in 1990 with ESPN hiring her as host of its Sportscenter news program for several years before moving onto Good Morning America.

Her morning show has consistently ranked among the most-watched on television and she has received several awards for her work. Additionally, GLAAD recognized her efforts on behalf of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities.
