Mike Tomlin We Do Not Care

Mike Tomlin and the Steelers

It’s clear that Tomlin is a football fan. In 2009, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ head coach declared that his team would unleash “hell” in December. The following weekend, they played a terrible game. They recovered but missed the postseason.

His message is simple, regardless of whether it’s the revolving doors of offensive line coaches and Tomlin’s lackluster enthusiasm for a player. Tomlin is not distracted by the notion that quarterbacks are distracting. He is focused on his team. He has never given any thought to the public perception of his players. He said, “Team first,” even after he made a trade for Melvin Ingram.
