Mary and Brittani Are So Close on sMothered That They Share a Shower

Mary and Brittani share one of the closest mom-daughter relationships out there – they star on TLC reality show sMothered together and share everything from showering, co-colonic treatments and plastic surgery procedures together to sharing a shower! A recent video also shows them sharing surgery costs.

Brittani, 19, approached Mary to assist with her colonic treatment. It may sound odd but Mary has had experience with bowel issues herself and was more than willing to assist Brittani as part of their special angel baby ritual. “She’s my special angel baby!” Mary declares.

Brittani and her mother share an extraordinary bond since moving in together. Brittani believes they share a spiritual bond, likening their relationship to that of sisters. Together they’ve gone through much together over the years, learning to love each other more as time has gone on.

But their relationship has also had its share of ups and downs. While the two were very close as children, things took an unexpected turn when Mary met Frank Canuto, Brittani’s step-father at church and started dating him. Mary eventually wed Frank after having children; however, after having done so she ripped up their marriage certificate but they have never divorced despite remaining close as mother and daughter.

While Mary and Brittani’s relationship may seem unusual, other mother-daughter pairs on the show are just as close. Kathy Crispino and Cristina Bertolli’s plot to move in together this season has already made waves; Laurie and Sarah, Mary’s sisters-in-law, share an intimate bathwater slurping moment just like Mary and Brittani did! Though it’s impossible to know whether this level of intimacy is normal or not, we can certainly say it is creepy – though maybe we are simply too used to seeing these moms and daughters so close thanks to social media and reality shows.
