Lacey Chabert and Her Daughter Julia
Lacey Chabert is an actress who has been working in television for two decades. Despite her hectic career, she still finds time for her daughter Julia. Recently, Lacey shared a photo of herself snuggled up against Julia while filming a new film on Instagram.
Lacey began her acting career as a child in 1990, appearing in a commercial for toy store chain Child World. She went on to become an iconic regular on Disney Channel show Gargoyles and has voiced many cartoons since then.
Her breakthrough role was Claudia Salinger on Party of Five, alongside Neve Campbell and Scott Wolf. As one of the youngest actors featured on the series, she was able to develop into her character over seven seasons.
She was nominated for a Young Star Award and her performance on the show cemented her reputation as an overnight sensation. She went on to star in many other shows and movies such as The Brooke Ellison Story, Hello Sister, Goodbye Life and Mean Girls (starring Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried), becoming an overnight success.
Mean Girls is a 2004 comedy that follows the friendships between high school students. It became an instant hit at the box office and launched both Lindsay Lohan and Tina Fey’s careers. Additionally, it marked the first movie where all of its cast received MTV Movie Awards for their performances, opening up teen movie genre to new viewers.
The film also explored real and plastic friendships, showing the distinction between those fostered by parents and those formed on one’s own by teenagers.
It was an enjoyable movie, though much of its humor relied on familiar references to other movies – particularly John Hughes ones. This made for some good laughs but not particularly thrilling viewing.
In Hallmark’s Winter in Vail, she stars as an ambitious event planner who receives the unexpected offer to take over a family chalet in ski resort town. However, she’s uncertain if she can handle it. After meeting Owen (Tyler Hynes), a soft-spoken contractor, she starts to reevaluate her life and ultimately decides to quit her job and relocate to Vail.
She gives an impressive performance that is both believable and charming. She and Tyler seem like a perfect match, while the film also boasts some lovely scenery.
Winter in Vail is an uplifting story about two friends who reunite and rediscover their love for one another after meeting again in a small Colorado ski town. With its strong message about finding happiness through unexpected places, Winter in Vail makes for an enjoyable watch.
Chabert has several Hallmark film opportunities coming up this holiday season, including Haul Out the Holly which hits airwaves in just a few weeks and Groundswell which premieres this fall on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
