JJ Watt Tackles a Fan at a Zac Brown Band Concert
An event that has gone viral, Houston Texans defensive end JJ Watt tackled a fan who ran the stage at Zac Brown Band concert in Milwaukee. Video footage shows the fan wearing an Alabama football shirt jumping up and dancing onstage before Watt comes out from behind him and tackles him like an NFL quarterback running up to the line.
At Summer Fest, a music festival held in Milwaukee over the weekend, an unruly fan jumped onto stage and started dancing to Zac Brown Band’s rendition of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Under The Bridge,” when Watt came from nowhere and tackled him to the ground.
Though it appeared real, many are questioning if this was just a staged stunt. A video posted to Watt’s Twitter account shows an alleged fan dancing onstage before Watt comes out and tackles him, sending him flying to the floor.
Many have noted the size of Watt, who has already been named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player this season. At 6 feet 5 inches and 285 pounds, he’s tall enough to knock anyone down; in fact, it was hard to tell if the person rushing the stage was taller or not.
This may have been a stunt, but it was certainly thrilling to watch. It serves as proof that Watt can bring an exciting energy to the NFL even in small roles like this.
He’s one of the greatest players in football and has been making the most of his time on the field lately. In his last game against San Francisco 49ers, he finished with five solo tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks.

Jennifer Simpson, who lives in Arizona and is an ardent fan of JJ Watt, was on Twitter late at night.
