Jessica Simpson’s Pants Splitting

Jessica Simpson is an incredible young lady who happens to possess a voluptuous body that makes her an eye-catcher for photographers. From donning an extravagant minidress for Maxim magazine’s cover shoot, to donning a tiny red bikini while swimming with husband Eric Johnson or flaunting her incredible curves in jeans – Jessica never hesitates to show off her curves. A native of Dallas-Fort Worth she isn’t shy about showing them off!

Not everyone saw Jessica this way. In the early aughts, Jessica faced plenty of bullying due to her fuller frame. To address it, she adopted a more seductive look and expanded her clothing selections with extended sizes; but this only compounded their critics.

Onstage during her performance on MTV’s TRL Tour’s opening night in Albany, New York, Jessica’s pants split open during a performance – luckily she had brought an alternate pair.

At the 2001 Teen Choice Awards, Jessica is nominated for Favorite Female Artist but loses out to Britney Spears. Subsequently, she writes an open and honest cover story for Teen People wherein she confesses her struggles with weight and self-esteem issues as a result of these battles.

Jessica’s second album, Irresistible, fails in the charts and Entertainment Weekly rates it with a “D,” noting her lack of an authentic talent compared to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

As she is opening for Rascal Flatts during their third tour in Albany, New York, Jessica finds that her zipper has broken in front of a sold-out crowd. Luckily, Jessica’s mother provided a spare pair so that Jessica was able to complete the performance without issue.

Sweet Kisses marks Jessica’s fourth album. No longer an opening act, her tour has begun at Madison Square Garden but flops over its three month run due to its new single, “Come Clean,” failing to become an instant classic and only reaching double platinum status.

In 2002, Jessica is widely criticized for her performance in Coyote Ugly, prompting speculation she’s gay and leading John Mayer to refer to her as “sexual napalm.” Nonetheless, Jessica stood firm behind her acting decision, insisting it wasn’t taken personally and maintaining that it wasn’t personal for her either way.

The next year, Jessica graces the cover of Playboy magazine with a seductive look and her blonde locks up in loose waves. She states that this pose was taken at the end of a shoot; typically when taking photos herself she prefers wearing more casual clothing.

On June 30th 2003, Jessica marries singer/actor Eric Johnson in a Catholic ceremony, wearing an elaborate champagne-and-gold Carolina Herrera gown featuring 12-carat diamond drop earrings.

In 2020, Jessica and Eric welcomed their first son together – Bronx! In an Instagram post from December, Jessica showed off her stunning figure, flaunting bare shoulders and slim hips before adding “And he’s the biggest dad-dy!”
