Henriette Von Rosen

Helen von Rosen, her mother’s daughter, enrolled in an air force academy after her mother’s passing. She went on to become a chief instructor in the Imperial Ethiopian Air Force. Later, she worked for the Swedish charter airline Transair, which was hired by the UN during the Congo Crisis. She was even a pilot for Dag Hmarskjold (second Secretary-General) of the United Nations. Hammarskjold was killed in an air crash while mediating the Congo Crisis.

Lee was engaged to Henriette von Rosen, the daughter of Count Fritz von Rosen. Count von Rosen hired private investigators to investigate Lee and demanded that his daughter be given a reference. Before Henriette von Rosen could wed Lee, the Count of Rosen demanded that the King of Sweden grant his daughter a reference. Von Rosen eventually married another woman, Birgit Kroncke, in 1960. Their daughter Christina Erika Carandini Lee was born during this period.
