Carrie Underwood’s 1-Year-Old Cake For Jacob’s First Birthday

Carrie Underwood’s young son Jacob is clearly fond of sweets! On his first birthday on Tuesday (Jan. 21), the country singer’s 1-year-old went all out when it came to enjoying his cake on his special day – covering both hands and high chair with frosting! Carrie shared several photos on her Instagram of him eating his treat with gusto. Carrie even posted videos showing Jacob enjoying himself despite its sweet flavor!

Underwood and Fisher, who already share 4-year-old son Isaiah, are expecting their second son together and Underwood has announced she is expecting another. She featured on American Idol before getting engaged to Mike Fisher who used to play NFL.

PureWow notes that Jacob’s smash cake featured a baby wrapped in green blanket with the number one written across one side and Jacob’s name written across the top. A smash cake is designed for babies to do whatever they please with it–including smashing, smooshing and eating–for their first birthday celebrations.

Underwood’s family also provided gourmet cupcakes to the crowd during her celebration, with her older son Isaiah even wearing a cowboy hat and waving at them from behind his seat!

Underwood offered her thanks and gratitude to fans and family, while also sending a special birthday wish for her son, Jacob Wetterling Resource Center of Minnesota, which supports families of missing children like Jacob’s. Jacob Wetterling disappeared while riding home from school on October 29, 1989 and has not been seen since then. The Jacob Wetterling Resource Center offers its support as a Minnesota nonprofit helping these families. In particular, this organization provided aid after his abduction.
