Gustavo Adolfo Del Toro Bermudez

Born in San German, Puerto Rico, Gustavo Adolfo Del Toro Bermudez is a director, actor and writer. He has an older brother, Gustavo, who is a pediatric oncologist. He attended the Roman Catholic Academia del Perpetuo Socorro in Miramar, Puerto Rico, and the Mercersburg Academy. When he was nine, his mother died from hepatitis. When he was fifteen, his family moved to the U.S., and he enrolled in Mercersburg Academy.

Del Toro grew up in a small family in Puerto Rico. After the death of his mother, his family moved to Pennsylvania. He eventually enrolled in the University of California, San Diego, to study law, but decided to pursue a career in theater.

He had a troubled childhood. At age nine, his mother died of fulminant hepatitis, and his father abandoned him and his family. His mother was a lawyer. He later married a lawyer, and they had a daughter together.

Del Toro starred in several films during the early 2000s. The Hunted starred Tommy Lee Jones and 21 Grams starred Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. The latter movie won him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Other films starring Del Toro include The Pledge, a film directed by Sean Penn.

Del Toro’s acting career started as a small television role in the late 1980s. He appeared in NBC’s mini-series Drug Wars and Miami Vice. His movie debut was in Big Top Pee-wee. He then went on to play the villain in the James Bond film Licence to Kill (1989), which made him the youngest Bond villain to date. Other notable movies that starred Del Toro include ‘Catch Me If You Can’t Make Me Happy’ and ‘The Indian Runner’.

Del Toro’s career in film continued to flourish as his 2001 film Traffic won numerous awards, including the prestigious Globo de Oro and the Sindicato de Actors’ award for best actor. It was a major coup for del Toro, and the film continues to be a success. In the late 2000s, two other films in which del Toro starred were released. In the crime film Criminal Snatch, he played a diamond dealer named Franky. In the thriller Fanatico, he played a nativo-Estanian, a fugitive.

Del Toro’s career began as a character actor in television shows. After starring in the television series Miama Vice, he discovered that he preferred to shoot movies. This allowed him to further develop his characters. Del Toro continued to win awards for his performances even after he made his first TV appearance in 1986.
