Fetish For Ugly People
Fetish For Ugly People
Ugly people can be fetished in various ways. Some might collect photos or movies of ugly men and women; while others might create web sites dedicated to ugly people featuring videos or photos. When creating such sites, they might feature videos or photos with articles written specifically about them by their creator. As opposed to more commonly associated types of fetishism such as body piercing or touching sores on skin, such as body fetishes for ugly people are usually not sexual but instead focused around their vibes, mystique or allure – some even make living from being beautiful models or actors!
While nothing wrong with fetishizing ugly people, their being exploited may become problematic for some individuals. Prejudice and discrimination against such people could result from this; people may develop stereotypes regarding them due to stereotypes about ugly people being promoted through media images; additionally they could be perceived as threats by those looking for an easy profit from exploiting their vulnerabilities.
Problematically, fetishism of ugly people may also come across as degrading for attractive individuals. For instance, an attractive person reading an article about such a fetish and viewing ugly people described as slaves or servants may become offended and decide that these people are unattractive – potentially making it unlikely for them to date or marry one.
Fetish for ugly people can also be considered social taboo, since it constitutes gaslighting – an emotional manipulation technique in which someone is told their perceptions, reactions or memories are incorrect – leading them to question their self-regard and beauty. Similarily, taboo against being Ugly can be considered gaslighting as it forces individuals into questioning themselves about being beautiful.
Fated against ugly people can also be an example of epistemic injustice, in that people are denied an opportunity to understand how others treat them. A bullied individual might come to realize that their looks contribute to why they’re being bullied, as well as failures in romantic relationships due to being an ugly person – this hermeneutic realization can help overcome lookism’s hermeneutic injustice.
It can help them recognize that their treatment is determined solely by physical appearances, rather than any character flaws or behavioral flaws. Just as many women during the women’s liberation movement came to understand that failures in romance or other areas were due to sexism, people can come to realize their ugliness is to blame for some of the difficulties they encounter in the world – this powerful insight may give them power over their lives and empower them to make changes for a brighter future.
