Ethan Suplee is one of those actors you may recognize from shows such as Boy Meets World, American History X, Remember the Titans, Santa Clarita Diet, and Motherless Brooklyn. Recently however, he has been dedicating himself to weight loss efforts.

Before his transformation, the actor weighed over 500 pounds and struggled to find work. But after discovering a diet plan that altered his relationship with food and strength training, it all came together and he began to shed pounds.

He consumes around 3000 calories daily and hits the weights six times per week for an hour-long session. On weekends, he also does cardio for about 20 minutes.

His diet consists primarily of protein, moderate amounts of carbohydrates and very little fat. Furthermore, he makes sure his body stays hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

He uses a hypertrophy approach to muscle growth during his workout regimen, using exercises such as chest/push, back/pull and squats to add mass to his muscles.

Ethan Suplee has had an interest in bodybuilding since childhood, partly to achieve his ambition of being bigger than everyone else. Additionally, he wanted to look strong for his role as Chance on Chance.

Despite his successes, he wasn’t entirely contented and often felt depressed about not being able to keep up. This led him to experiment with various diets and exercise routines in an attempt to reach his fitness goals.

His first diet was the Atkins one; he followed it for about a year and managed to shed 210 pounds.

He then attempted a blood type diet and the ketogenic diet, both of which were high-fat, low carbohydrate programs that left him feeling starved. Finally, he decided to watch a TED Talk by Mike Isratel which transformed his perspective on nutrition for health.

After listening to the TED Talk, Suplee began tracking his food intake and making changes in his diet. Additionally, he started strength training to build muscle mass and boost energy levels.

Once he started seeing results, he decided to share his journey with others. So he created the American Glutton podcast where he shares everything from his weight loss and diet plans to his struggles with food addiction, compulsions, and more.

His podcast has become a must-listen for those wanting to learn more about staying healthy. His openness and straightforward approach have an incredible power to shape minds.
