Ethan Allen Horizons Collection
Ethan Allen’s Horizons Collection Is a Step in the Right Direction
Ethan Allen has a rich history of making furniture, primarily in the United States. The firm has more than 300 design centers and a network of stores and showrooms across the country, but it is best known for its iconic designs that date back to the mid-century.
The company’s latest quarterly results are a sign that its efforts to revitalize the brand are paying off. The manufacturer posted 17.7% revenue growth, which topped analysts’ estimates.
Sales also jumped 7.5% from last year, bucking the broader trends in retail and especially home goods. Its inventory was down slightly from three months ago, a sign that it isn’t laden with excess stock as many of its rivals are.
CEO Farooq Kathwari cited a number of factors that helped the company pull off its latest record-setting quarter, including its use of new materials, such as composites and leather. It also improved its supply chain efficiency to reduce the time it takes for a product to make it from concept to shelf.
Another factor that helped the company was its re-emergence as a leading designer of luxury goods. Its re-branding campaign, which launched in late 2015, includes an emphasis on contemporary furniture and home decor, an overhaul of the website, and the introduction of a new brand logo and tagline.
The horizons collection is a great example of the brand’s new focus on modern furniture and home decor, as well as its re-emergence as a leader in the luxury home space. Its newest additions include the Manhattan trestle table, a sleek sculptural piece made from stainless steel and black glass. The table is a great way to display artwork or host guests and comes with eight matching chairs.
