This year, the award-winning Christian duo did for King and Country by earning two Grammy Awards: Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “God Only Knows” (featuring Dolly Parton) and Best Contemporary Christian Album for Burn The Ships. These victories come on the heels of their biggest week yet in sales with a platinum record that reached Top 10 across multiple charts such as Billboard 200 Albums Chart and Top Christian Albums chart.

Their third studio album has become their most successful to date and continues to garner national attention and recognition. Their RIAA Gold certified Burn The Ships sold out concerts worldwide and amassed over 1.1 billion on-demand streams. Furthermore, this critically acclaimed release earned the band their first-ever GRAMMY nomination – earning them a second 2022 Grammy in the Best Contemporary Christian Album category.

They have earned numerous accolades throughout their career, such as multiple GRAMMY, Billboard and RIAA award wins. Furthermore, they have dedicated themselves to philanthropic causes such as human trafficking and children in need.

On Sunday night, the 62nd annual Grammy Awards took place and did for king and country make a special appearance. The brothers won both of their nominations that evening, bringing their total Grammy awards to four.

Joel and Luke Smallbone, whose names are stylized as for king and country, are Australian-born brothers who have quickly earned a place of honor among Christian pop acts. Their music has been featured on multiple television shows as well as tours around the world that have earned them an enthusiastic following of fans.

Over the years, they’ve earned numerous music awards and recognition, releasing seven No. 1 hits, 10 Top 10 singles and collaborating with many renowned artists such as Dolly Parton, Timbaland, Needtobreathe, Tori Kelly and Lecrae. Renowned for their energetic live performances, they strive to spread hope and love around the world through their music.

They have also received recognition for their philanthropic efforts, having donated money to numerous organizations that aid those less fortunate, such as United Way. Above all else, however, the brothers are dedicated to their families and hold faith in high regard.

As part of their philanthropic endeavors, they have created a series of Christmas albums and songs featuring the beloved “Little Drummer Boy.” Additionally, they performed at the CMA Country Christmas awards show, receiving national critical acclaim for both performances.

Their most recent album, What Are We Waiting For?, represents a major turning point in both personal and professional growth for the brothers. After spending so much time traveling around and connecting to large audiences of fans, they had time to pause and take stock of their life. This led them to adopt a more reflective and thoughtful approach when writing songs – which ultimately inspired their new record.
