The Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is a 28 year old football player. He is currently playing for the team in the National Football League (NFL). In fact, he is the fourth best player in the country. His performance in the 2016 season was a major factor in the Cowboys’ victories. As a result, he was ranked 14th on the NFL’s list of Top 100 Players in 2017.

In college, Prescott played for the Mississippi State Bulldogs. There, he set multiple records, including total passes, passing yards, and touchdowns. During his senior year, he led the Bulldogs to a 10-win season and earned All-SEC first-team honors. On top of that, he received the Senior CLASS Award.

Prescott enrolled at Mississippi State University after completing his high school career at Haughton High School. At that time, he also had an older half-brother. Despite having a family of three, Dak and his brothers would live with their mother, Peggy. Their mother enjoyed watching football with them. Sadly, she passed away from colon cancer. This inspired Dak and his siblings to become football players themselves.

After his older brothers graduated, Dak continued living with his mom. She drove a truck to make ends meet. But she had a passion for football and sparked interest in the sport in her sons.

Dak’s mother had a football tattoo on her arm. She was a die-hard fan and was always watching football games with her boys. She had a strong bond with them and inspired them to pursue their dreams in sports. One of the reasons why Dak and his brother Jace became football players was because their mother loved the game.

Dak Prescott started out on the football field when he was in high school. While in high school, he was a standout athlete. His teams won the District 1-AAAA championship. Additionally, he helped his team win a basketball championship. Moreover, he received back-to-back All-SEC first-team selections in 2014 and 2015.

After he attended Mississippi State, Dak Prescott went on to become a member of the Cowboys. He has a four-year, $160 million contract with the team. Aside from his base salary, his deal includes a restructure bonus of $18,400,000 in 2022. It also includes a cap hit of $19,730,000. During his 16-game rookie season, he recorded a total of 29 touchdowns. And he rushed for 110 yards and four touchdowns.

Prior to signing a contract with the Cowboys, Prescott signed a contract with Campbell’s Chunky Soup. This was a deal that was made to honor hardworking coaches in local communities. Moreover, it also relieved coaches of practice duties. Currently, Prescott owns a home in Frisco, Texas.

In 2016, he scored a total of 29 touchdowns and was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Moreover, he was a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. Lastly, he was named a semifinalist for the Manning Award and the Maxwell Award.

In addition to his work with the Cowboys, Prescott launched his own nonprofit foundation. Named Faith Fight Finish Foundation, the organization aims to empower families and individuals to combat adversity. It also focuses on mental health and suicide prevention.
