Memphis Police On The Lookout For Two Suspects In An Incident Using Craigslist Cars

Memphis Police are looking for two suspects in an alleged incident involving Craigslist cars. A man and woman showed up at a home to test drive a 2005 Cadillac that was advertised on the website. They were given the keys by the seller, but they never returned them. Instead, they left in a 1997 Ford Explorer with Mississippi license plates.

While it’s not uncommon to see a strange ad on Craigslist, it’s advisable to be cautious and avoid making any purchases on this site. Scammers are particularly active during the holiday season. A couple from Memphis, Tennessee nearly lost their lives after they met a Craigslist seller. They had $16,000 in cash and were being met by a group consisting of semi-automatic weapons-wielding men.
