Chase Elliott On Game Day

NASCAR Driver Chase Elliott Will Be a Guest on College GameDay This Weekend

NASCAR driver Chase Elliott is an enthusiastic fan of college football and will be appearing as a guest on ESPN’s College GameDay this weekend. As a Georgia Bulldogs supporter, Elliott hopes their team wins against Clemson this Saturday.

He has been an avid supporter of numerous teams for many years, but the Georgia Bulldogs remain his top choice. They were the first team to defeat Clemson in a major football game since 2000 and have gone on to win multiple national titles.

As a native of Dawsonville, GA, he developed an affinity for local sports teams and was even named to the All-Atlanta Braves team in 2018. Additionally, his passion for children led him to launch a campaign that brings custom shoes to Children’s Hospital Atlanta.

The program has raised more than $160,000 for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta since its inception six years ago with a goal of raising $100,000. Since then, it has grown to surpass that milestone with contributions totaling over $1 million.

This year’s goal is to raise more than $250k for the center. Additionally, they plan on auctioning off some of their custom gear created especially for patients.

On Saturday, he will be a special guest on College GameDay as they film a live segment from Charlotte and it is widely expected that he will predict the Bulldogs to win this week’s game against Clemson.

Although he’s an ardent Bulldogs fan, this will be a difficult choice for him to make. The Tigers are the 3.0 point favorites but the game will take place at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte where fans should enjoy an electric atmosphere.

He has long been an enthusiastic college football fan, frequently appearing as a guest on ESPN’s College GameDay show. A Georgia Bulldogs fanatic, he will be rooting for them to triumph this weekend against Clemson.

On Sunday afternoon in Charlotte, he will be filming a live segment for the show to give his opinions about the game. While the Bulldogs are odds-on favorites to win, anything can happen!

After his debut win at the Ally 400, he was hesitant to speak with reporters. He wanted to let his emotions take its course but also keep his head down and focus on the task at hand.

For the driver, this is a new chapter; in the past he’s kept his feelings about NASCAR to himself. But this time around, he has spoken out publicly about his issues with the sport.

He spoke out not only to ensure safety in the car, but also his own personal concerns as a driver and to maintain respect in NASCAR’s community. As he put it: “I just don’t want to see this sport go backwards and I want to ensure we’re not doing anything to damage it.”

This is an enormously significant milestone for motorsport as a whole, something not many drivers have accomplished before.
