Braden Galloway Clemson Nfl Draft
Clemson Tight End Prospect 2023
Clemson football’s tight end position has received little attention this year, but one junior is making a case to be one of the top 10 picks at the NFL Draft: Braden Galloway. Galloway could be just what the Chargers need in their tight end depth situation.
The Chargers are in need of a tight end, with Stephen Anderson and Jared Cook both unrestricted free agents this offseason. Fortunately, there are some potential candidates in the 2023 draft who could fit perfectly for the Bolts.
Tight end Lucas Allen has been an impressive prospect for the Chargers this year, and his football IQ makes him a desirable pick. Unfortunately, his low ceiling could keep him off the board early in the draft. Therefore, taking him as either a late round pick or signing him as an undrafted free agent with the intention of developing him until he’s ready to join the roster would make sense.
This year’s tight ends class features many outstanding names, but I believe Braden Galloway to be one of the top choices. He is a versatile player who can play both outside and inside, giving him great potential to break out as an NFL prospect this year.
The 2023 draft is shaping up to be an outstanding tight end class with some truly talented players. While Kyle Pitts, Pat Freiermuth and Brevin Jordan are the leaders of this group, I think Braden Galloway should also be watched closely as he has the potential to make an immediate impact in the NFL.
Davis Allen is another player to keep an eye on in the 2023 draft, and he’s had an impressive season so far for the Tigers. He has 17 catches for 215 yards this season and scored three touchdowns.
He’s generated some draft buzz this season and could go in the first round of 2023. This bodes well for Clemson’s tight end position in the future; I believe he could be one of the next big names selected from this group in the draft.
After an injury-plagued junior season, Galloway put together an impressive senior campaign that proved he could help Clemson return to their national championship winning ways. Despite multiple injuries throughout his career, he made some key plays that propelled Clemson to its second consecutive ACC Championship Game appearance.
He was a dual-sport athlete at Seneca High School in South Carolina who began playing football as a junior. Despite limited playing time on the field, he still managed to accumulate impressive big play statistics that earned him a place on the All-ACC Team as a junior. Unfortunately, injuries would ultimately put an end to his Clemson career.
