People’s Choice Awards winners are making their way down the red carpet this year, and one star stood out among all with her stunning look. “Mayores” singer Becky G exuded sexy appeal in an eye-catching yellow Roberto Cavalli gown featuring a slit that reached to her hip and backless cutout detailing which allowed viewers to admire her toned figure beneath.
Kenan Thompson hosted the ceremony, broadcast simultaneously on E! and NBC from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. The awards honor fans’ choices across television, movies and music – drawing an enthusiastic crowd to witness some of entertainment’s hottest stars as they took the stage to accept their award.
On the night, Taylor Swift, BTS and Lizzo each took home multiple awards. Luke Combs, Selena Gomez and Charlie Puth each garnered four nominations.
Swift not only won three awards, but she also took home top honors for female artist of 2022 and music video of 2022 (Anti-Hero). To accept their accolades, she was joined onstage by BFF Carly Rae Jepsen and mom Mariah Carey.
At the 2022 Academy Awards, many of music’s biggest stars were in attendance; however, there were also some unexpected winners as well. Noah Centineo earned himself the comedy movie star title of 2022 for his role on Netflix’s The Perfect Date; Camila Cabello edged out Bad Bunny and Luke Combs to take home Latin artist of 2022; Lauren Spencer-Smith won New Artist of 2022; while Ryan Reynolds received People’s Icon recognition.

At this year’s People’s Choice Awards, Taylor Swift, Luke Combs and BTS were some of the top contenders. Each singer earned two nominations in music; Luke Combs also won the group of 2022 while BTS’ Jung Kook took home the collaboration song of 2022 for his featured role on Charlie Puth’s “Left and Right”.
Bad Bunny led the pack with seven nominations, followed by Harry Styles with six. Both rappers were nominated for Latin artist of 2022 and collaboration song of 2022 respectively; Styles also received nominations for music video of 2022 and drama movie star of 2022 for his performance in Don’t Worry Darling.
Elizabeth Olsen made headlines in 2022 for her roles on Both Only Murders in the Building and Stranger Things, earning her two crowns: comedy TV star of 2022 and social celebrity of 2022.
On the show, Lizzo emerged as one of several surprise winners, taking home two awards – “About Damn Time” as both song of 2022 and people’s champion of 2022. She then welcomed 17 activists onto the stage whom she praised for their efforts in effecting positive change within their communities.
